 IMPORTANT UPDATE
With the announcement that we are going into tier 4 I am sorry to say the gym will have to temporarily close again. The new rules apply from midnight tonight.
By the sounds of recent evidence, it seems the right thing to do to keep us all safe in the short term knowing we can return to normal in the not too distant future.

2nd LOCKDOWN ANNOUNCEMENT

Due to new COVID restrictions we will be closed from 8pm Wednesday 4th November and will reopen 7.30am on Thursday 3rd December with business as usual.  Stay safe everyone and check here for any updates. We will keep GOing!

PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO BOOKING REQUIRED. WE WILL BE WORKING ON A CAPACITY OF 12 MEMBERS MAXIMUM (PLUS STAFF) AT ANY ONE TIME.

I hope to see those of you that feel ready smiling and working out! As a ladies only, community gym, we pride ourselves on communication friendship, trust and respect. This in turn will keep us all safer throughout this pandemic.

Having reviewed previous footfall and interest shown, the opening hours and class times have been changed slightly. For you early birds you can now workout from 7.30am! The new opening hours will be:

Monday-Friday: 7.30am-1.30pm and 3.30pm-7.00pm (additional classes at 1.30pm and 7pm)
Saturday: 9.00am-12.30pm (additional classes to follow)
Sunday: closed (additional classes/workshops to follow)

Please check the website here for class dates and times as I am meeting instructors this week to confirm availability. We will hopefully be resuming classes immediately with the same maximum capacity of 12 (plus instructor and staff). There may be some exciting new classes too. Due to space restrictions we will not be holding the in-house classes such as Lisa’s Circuits, Faye’s Abs and Kat’s Senior Circuits for the time being. I hope you understand that some changes were necessary to allow the club to re-open and continue to succeed.

AS A LADIES ONLY, COMMUNITY GYM, WE PRIDE OURSELVES ON COMMUNICATION, FRIENDSHIP, TRUST AND RESPECT. THIS IN TURN WILL KEEP US ALL SAFER THROUGHOUT THIS PANDEMIC.

 

COVID19 NEW PROCEDURES

THERMOMETER

There is a wall mounted thermometer outside of the club. Please check your temperature before you enter should you have any doubt. If your temperature is 37.8C or higher please do not enter.

GLOVES

Disposable, biodegradable gloves will be provided outside of the club. Please put these on before entering and logging in. Gloves will be worn throughout your workout and for the duration of your visit then disposed of in a bin provided in the foyer. Should you wish to wear your own gloves, please ensure they are washed between visits.

MASKS

Masks are optional if you wish to bring your own. Staff will not be required to wear a mask.

CLEANING

We will be using antibacterial/antiviral spray on all equipment, mats, etc. regularly throughout the day.

HAND SANITISER

Antibacterial/antiviral hand sanitiser will be provided around the club should you wish to use as well as the gloves.

SOCIAL DISTANCING

We would ask you to adhere to the 1 metre plus distancing rule. There are markers on the floor to help with this.

CAPACITY

There will be a maximum capacity of 12 members (plus staff) at any one time. Should we be full when you arrive, there will be a short wait outside keeping a safe distance.

CHANGING ROOM

We would ask that where possible you come ready to workout. If not, there will be a maximum of 2 people in the changing room at any one time. Lockers will still be available.

VENTILATION

We are lucky that we do not have air conditioning but have plenty of windows to open to let the air flow freely – even if that means sometimes having to wear an extra layer! We also have the high speed fans to cool you down.

TRACK AND TRACE

Our logging in system provides us a “Track and Trace” operation if needed. We can see who and at what time any member has been in the club should we need to contact you.

Please refrain from attending if you have any symptoms related to COVID19.

WORKING OUT

The stations will be correctly spaced out. The steps will be removed from the strength training circuit to allow you to move freely from one hydraulically resisted machine to another. With the exercise bike added this will give you a 9 station strength training/cardio workout. At the opposite end of the gym there will be equipment and steps for your freestyle/target workout which can be before/after/instead of the strength training circuit. This area will also be correctly spaced out.
