COVID-19 NEW PROCEDURES
GLOVES
Disposable gloves will be provided outside of the club. Please put these on before working out. Washable cotton gloves can be bought for £2 a pair or 3 pairs for £5. Gloves will be worn throughout your workout and for the duration of your visit then disposed of in a bin provided in the foyer or taken away to be washed.
MASKS
Masks are optional whilst working out but should be worn whilst in the changing room. Staff will not be required to wear a mask.
CLEANING
We will be using antibacterial/antiviral spray on all equipment, mats, etc. regularly throughout the day.
HAND SANITISER
Antibacterial/antiviral hand sanitiser will be provided around the club should you wish to use as well as the gloves.
SOCIAL DISTANCING
We would ask you to adhere to the 1 metre plus distancing rule. There are markers on the floor to help with this.
CAPACITY
There will be a maximum capacity of 14 members (plus staff) at any one time. Should we be full when you arrive, there will be a short wait outside keeping a safe distance.
CHANGING ROOM
We would ask that you wear a face mask and maintain social distance whilst in the changing room. Lockers will still be available.
VENTILATION
We are lucky that we do not have air conditioning but have plenty of windows to open to let the air flow freely – even if that means sometimes having to wear an extra layer! We also have the high speed fans to cool you down.
TRACK AND TRACE
Our logging in system provides us a “Track and Trace” operation if needed. We can see who and at what time any member has been in the club should we need to contact you. Please refrain from attending if you have any symptoms related to COVID19.
WORKING OUT
The stations will be correctly spaced out. The steps will be removed from the strength training circuit to allow you to move freely from one hydraulically resisted machine to another. With the exercise bike and resistance band added this will give you a 10 station strength training/cardio workout. At the opposite end of the gym there will be equipment and steps for your freestyle/target workout which can be before/after/instead of the strength training circuit. This area will also be correctly spaced out.
